There is nothing more disappointing as an Author than having to turn off private message requests on social media. My TikTok and Instagram accounts have been targeted ruthlessly. So far, my Facebook page remains virtually unaffected, but I fear that it may not last long at the rate these scammers are going.
Ultimately, I want to be accessible to those who read or have questions about my books, but I simply cannot handle the influx of scammers that come through my private messages every single day.
There is a contact form on my website for those who do wish to contact me privately, but I'm afraid, at the moment, this is the best I can do.
